Croatia boasts over 1,700km of coast, thousands of beautiful islands, and year-round sunny weather; making it one of Europe’s premier sailing destinations. Our incredible yachts and catamarans are available from eight bases around Croatia for sailing trips during peak summer season (July-August); however you may also visit this gorgeous Mediterranean destination during shoulder seasons from May through June or September-October!
Off-season travel allows for quiet anchorages and less-traveled attractions, including Zadar with its marble streets or Kornati archipelago; Dubrovnik with its UNESCO-listed Old Town is particularly enjoyable, hosting performances, dramas, plays and classical music concerts at their Summer Festival – making for an enjoyable time spent exploring.
As soon as you arrive at your base for check-in, a charter fee and security deposit (usually pre-authorisation on a credit card) must be paid in addition to the cost of renting the boat. Your skipper will also require proof of valid VHF license as well as an updated crew list that has been confirmed beforehand. If any extras such as transfers, early check-in or Navigare Carefree damage waiver insurance and welcome package have been booked it would be prudent to bring these with you as well.
Check-Out

Croatia’s sailing season begins in March, but sea temperatures do not warm enough for swimming until mid-May. The high season spans July to August when temperatures are at their warmest and marinas are most active; however, you can still find stunning weather between June and September!
At check-in for bareboat charters, a security deposit must be left as part of a pre-authorisation for rental cars or yachts. This deposit will be held against any damage or losses to the vessel during your cruise; should there be no such issues, all of it will be returned back to you.
If you don’t yet possess a skippers license, hire an expert skipper for an additional cost. Our Charter Experts are happy to arrange an exam and assist in getting certified.
