Week 1: Central Dalmatia’s Gems

(Days 1-7: Focus on Split Region Islands – See our 7-Day Split Itinerary for more detailed daily descriptions, adapted here for a 14-day pace)

  • Day 1: Split/Trogir to Maslinica (Šolta): Check-in at your base (Split or Trogir), provision your catamaran (check our Provisioning Guide), and enjoy a short, relaxing first sail (approx. 12-15 NM) to the charming village of Maslinica on Šolta. Anchor or find a buoy/marina spot (Martinis Marchi – book ahead) and enjoy the sunset.
  • Day 2: Maslinica (Šolta) to Vis Town (Vis): A longer sail south (approx. 20-25 NM) brings you to the historic Vis Town. Settle into the bay (quay, buoy, or anchor) and explore the charming Kut district in the evening.
  • Day 3: Exploring Vis Town & Inland: Dedicate a day to Vis. Wander the town, visit the museum, and consider renting scooters/car to explore inland wineries  or historical military sites. Enjoy dinner at a top local restaurant.
  • Day 4: Vis Town to Komiža (Vis) via South Coast Coves: Sail along the stunning southern coast (approx. 15-20 NM including stops). Anchor outside Stiniva Cove and swim/dinghy in. Visit the Green Cave on Ravnik islet. Arrive in the picturesque fishing village of Komiža. Moor on the quay (can have swell) or pick up a buoy. (See our Vis Island Guide for details).
  • Day 5: Komiža (Vis) & optional Blue Cave (Biševo): Organise an early morning trip to the Blue Cave on Biševo (check conditions/tours). Spend the rest of the day relaxing in Komiža, visiting the Fisherman’s Museum, or swimming in the bay. Enjoy fresh seafood for dinner.
  • Day 6: Komiža (Vis) to Pakleni Islands (near Hvar): Sail northeast (approx. 12-15 NM) to the beautiful Pakleni Islands archipelago opposite Hvar Town. Choose a stunning bay like Vinogradišće (Palmižana), Ždrilca, to anchor or pick up a buoy.
  • Day 7: Pakleni Islands & Hvar Town Exploration: Enjoy swimming and relaxing in the Paklenis. In the afternoon, either stay anchored and take a water taxi to explore bustling Hvar Town (hike to fortress, explore Pjaca square), or if you’ve pre-booked a rare spot, move into Hvar Town harbour itself. The Pakleni Islands offer a more peaceful overnight base.

Week 2: Journey Through Southern Dalmatia

(Days 8-14: Focus on Southern Islands towards Dubrovnik – See our 7-Day Dubrovnik Itinerary for more detailed descriptions of some locations)

  • Day 8: Hvar Area to Šćedro Island Anchorage: Leave the Hvar/Pakleni buzz behind and sail southeast (approx. 10-12 NM) to the sparsely inhabited island of Šćedro. This island offers several beautiful, well-protected anchorages perfect for a peaceful night under the stars. Enjoy swimming and tranquility. Limited facilities ashore (maybe one or two seasonal konobas).
  • Day 9: Šćedro Island to Korčula Town (Korčula): Continue southeast (approx. 20-25 NM) towards the island of Korčula. Aim for the magnificent Korčula Town. Book ACI Marina Korčula well in advance or anchor nearby (Luka Bay). Prepare to be charmed by “Little Dubrovnik”.
  • Day 10: Exploring Korčula Town & Lumbarda: Spend the morning exploring Korčula’s medieval old town (Marco Polo house, cathedral, walls). In the afternoon, take a short sail (3-5 NM) around to Lumbarda, famous for sandy beaches (Vela Pržina) and Grk wine. Visit a local winery or anchor in a nearby bay between the islets (Badija, Vrnik).
  • Day 11: Korčula to Pomena/Polače (Mljet National Park): Sail south (approx. 14-16 NM) to the lush, green island of Mljet. Enter the National Park area and find mooring in Pomena (buoys/restaurant quays – often busy) or Polače (anchorage/restaurant quays – more space). Pay park entrance fees.
  • Day 12: Exploring Mljet National Park: Dedicate the day to the park. Cycle or walk around the saltwater lakes (Veliko & Malo Jezero), swim in the warm lake water, take the boat to St. Mary’s Islet monastery, kayak, or simply relax in this natural paradise.
  • Day 13: Mljet to Šipan Island (Elaphiti): Head southeast (approx. 18-20 NM) towards the Elaphiti Islands. Aim for the quiet harbour of Šipanska Luka on Šipan island. Anchor or find a buoy and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, a contrast to the previous days’ destinations.
  • Day 14: Šipan Island to Dubrovnik (ACI Marina Komolac) – Check Out: Enjoy a final swim and breakfast before a short sail (approx. 10-12 NM) back towards Dubrovnik. Head up the Rijeka Dubrovačka estuary to ACI Marina Komolac. Refuel your catamaran and complete the check-out procedure as agreed with SkipperCity.

The Luxury of Time: A Deeper Dive

Two weeks allows you to truly immerse yourself in the Dalmatian coast’s rhythm. You can afford spontaneous detours, linger an extra day in a beloved spot, or explore islands like Lastovo (further south, requires good weather planning) or more remote bays often skipped on shorter trips. The comfort of your SkipperCity catamaran makes extended time onboard a genuine pleasure.

Whether you choose this one-way itinerary, reverse it, or work with us to create a 14-day loop, a two-week catamaran charter is the ultimate way to experience the best of Croatia’s coastline.
