Free and non-binding

Tell us about your trip

Only your name and email are required. Answer what you know — we will work out the rest with you.

When would you like to sail?

Not sure yet? Leave this alone and tell us the month at the bottom — the boats email shows an example week and says which; reply with your dates and we send the list for them.

Where would you like to sail?
What kind of boat?
What is your boat budget per week, without extras like a skipper and a cook?

The boat alone. The boats email starts nearest the top of your range and goes up to about 10 % above it — further, and it says so, if too few boats fit. The skipper, cook, food and fuel come on top.

Do you need a skipper?
Do you need a cook?

Checking that you are not a robot…

When you ask for a yacht charter quote, you do not just want a random number. You want to know what kind of boat you can expect, what the week will roughly cost from start to finish, and whether the person on the other side understands what you are trying to do on the Adriatic. As skippers and agents who sail these routes ourselves, we take that very seriously.

This guide explains how a quote for a Croatia yacht charter works with SkipperCity: what information really helps, how the offer is built behind the scenes, and what a good quote looks like. You can always go back to the Charter Offers section or the main Yacht Charter Croatia hub, or go straight to Boat Search if you already know roughly what you want.

Why Our Quotes Feel Different

Most charter enquiries go something like this: you fill in a form, wait a day or two, and get a few boat links with no way to tell why one is cheaper, whether another is actually still free, or what the extras will add. We do it differently.

When you request a quote from SkipperCity, you get:

  • Within minutes, an email with the boats that fit your dates, crew and budget – each checked live with its charter company, so a boat that has just been booked is left out.
  • A shortlist, not the catalogue: up to forty boats, nearest your budget first, the first twelve with photos.
  • Each boat’s price for your week with any discount already applied, and a clear note of what comes on top – crew, extras and the costs paid at the base.
  • Then an email of four sample routes on a map, so you can picture the week, not just the invoice.

Then the people behind SkipperCity take it from there: reply with questions, or with the boats you like, and a person from our team in Split answers.

What We Need From You – The Essentials

Five things get you a useful answer within minutes: your dates (or the two or three weeks you could travel), how many adults and children, whether you want bareboat or a skipper, roughly which sailing area suits you, and a budget range for the boat alone. Everything else — boat type, brand, extras — we can work out with you.

You do not have to write an essay, but a few details make a huge difference. If you include these in your first message, we can skip a lot of back-and-forth and go straight to useful offers.

  • Dates or month: Exact week is ideal, but even “second half of June” helps. If you are flexible between a couple of weeks, mention that too – the weather by month guide helps if you are still choosing.
  • Number of guests: Adults and children, plus whether couples can share cabins or everyone wants their own.
  • Preferred yacht type: Catamaran, sailboat, motor yacht, or say that you are not sure yet.
  • Charter style: Bareboat, skippered or crewed.
  • Rough budget range: It does not have to be exact, but it helps us focus on realistic options. The budget is for the boat alone – the full cost guide shows what comes on top.

If you only know some of these, that is fine. Just tell us what you know now and we will help you refine the rest.

Optional Details That Help Us Fine-Tune Your Offer

Once the basics are covered, a few extra details help when you reply and a person refines the list with you:

  • Whether you prefer quieter bays, lively towns like Hvar and Split, or a mix.
  • Any special occasions – birthdays, anniversaries, honeymoons.
  • Sailing experience in your group, including anyone holding a skipper licence.
  • Priority between comfort, sailing performance and price.
  • Interest in extras such as SUPs, snorkelling, sea toys or our cook – see also Charter Extras.

The first list comes from your answers in the form; a boat model or size you name gets an email of its own, and the rest is what a person uses to refine the list with you when you reply.

How We Build Your Yacht Charter Quote

Behind a simple email is a surprisingly detailed process. Once we receive your enquiry, we:

  • Find the boats free for your dates and crew size, then check each one live with its charter company.
  • Filter by your answers and put the charter companies we know and recommend first.
  • Leave out any boat whose check-in rules do not allow your week; if your dates are not a charter week, the email searches the charter week closest to them and says so.
  • Show each boat’s price for your week, with the fleet’s current discount already applied.

We then send the boats that genuinely fit – never the entire database – nearest your budget first. Ask us which one we would pick, and why; that is where a Top Deal gets its name.

Example: What a Clear Quote Looks Like

The boats email, about five minutes after the one confirming your details, is put together automatically from the same search as this site, and it follows the same structure every time:

  • Short hello and the week it searched – your dates, or the charter week nearest to them.
  • The boats that fit, each with its length, build year, cabins and base marina.
  • Each boat’s price for your week with any discount applied – and the full breakdown, extras included, one click away on its page.
  • When you reply, short notes on pros and cons from our team – for example, “newer but smaller cabins”, or “slightly older but great value for this week”.
  • Links to yacht pages or a filtered Boat Search view if you want to explore further.

The goal is that you finish reading the email and can easily explain the options to your crew on WhatsApp without needing a dictionary of charter terms.

Illustrative of the format, not a live price. Every boat’s own page shows this breakdown for your dates — the list price and the discount applied, the mandatory extras itemised, and the deposit — so you can compare it with anyone else’s on the same terms.

The deposit and the damage waiver are explained line by line in deposit, damage waiver and insurance.

Quote Paths: Catamarans, Sailboats, Motor & Luxury Yachts

Every yacht type has its own rhythm when it comes to pricing and availability. On this page we keep things simple, but if you want more detail you can dive into our yacht-type guides:

If you already know which path feels right, mention it in your quote request. If you are undecided, tell us that too – tick more than one boat type in the form and the boats email searches them together, so you can compare.

When to Ask for Early Booking, Last Minute or Special Offers

You do not have to memorise every promotion type, but it helps to have a rough idea of what you are aiming for. In your message you can simply say “we prefer early booking security” or “we are curious about last minute possibilities”.

  • Early booking: Best if you travel with family, need specific cabins or want a particular catamaran. See more on the Early Booking page.
  • Last minute: Works for flexible crews who can travel at short notice and are open to different bases – explained in detail under Last Minute.
  • Special offers & top deals: Sometimes a specific yacht, route or week is simply better value. The Special Offers and Top Deals pages explain how to spot them.

Whatever you choose, our priority is the same: an honest quote that fits your expectations.

Step-by-Step: From First Message to Confirmed Booking

Here is how the process usually flows once you send your enquiry:

  1. Your message: You fill in the form on this page with your basic details and any existing ideas.
  2. We acknowledge: An email confirms what you asked for, straight away.
  3. The search runs: the boats free for your crew in your week – or the charter week nearest your dates – are found and priced as on this site, and the shortlist is checked live with the charter companies.
  4. You receive offers: Within minutes, an email with the boats that fit, each checked live, and soon after four sample routes on a map.
  5. Fine-tuning: You tell us what you like and what to adjust – yacht type, base, dates, extras.
  6. Option & booking: Once you choose, you place a free option online, or we place it for you, and your booking page walks you through the steps – how to book a boat explains each one.
  7. Preparation: Before departure, our Destinations and Itineraries guides help with the route, and a person answers any question you send about the crew list or extras.

At every stage you can ask questions – the first email is automatic, but it starts a conversation with a person rather than ending one.

How to Use Boat Search Before Asking for a Quote

You do not need to use the search tool before contacting us, but it can help you visualise what is possible for your dates and budget.

On the Boat Search page you can:

  • Enter your dates and departure region – for example Split, Zadar or Dubrovnik.
  • Filter by yacht type, length and cabin count.
  • Save a few yachts that look right and paste them into your enquiry.

Mention them when you reply to the boats email we send, and a person will look at those specific yachts with you. This is often the fastest way to move from dreaming to a realistic quote.

FAQ – Getting a Yacht Charter Quote for Croatia

Is the quote free and non-binding?

Yes. Asking for a quote does not oblige you to book. We only move to reservation and payment once you clearly confirm that you want to proceed with a specific yacht.

How quickly will I receive my quote?

The first email with matching boats usually arrives within minutes. Questions you send back are answered by a person; at the busiest times that takes longer, especially if we are double-checking complex itineraries. If your request is truly urgent or last minute, mention that in the message and we will prioritise accordingly.

Will I pay more than booking with the charter company directly?

No – paying by bank transfer you never pay more than booking direct (a card adds 5 %), and where a SkipperCity discount applies it comes off on top. We are paid by the charter company when you book, so asking costs you nothing.

Can you explain or compare another offer I already have?

Absolutely. Forward the offer to us and we will put it beside the same boat and week in our search, line by line; sometimes the other offer is simply very good and we will say so. Either way, we will help you understand what you are really getting – the best price guide shows how to compare the real total.

What if I am not sure about my dates yet?

No problem. Tell us the month or possible weeks you are considering and any constraints (school holidays, flights, events). We can show you how pricing and availability change, and you can decide when it makes most sense to confirm.

How do I send you my enquiry?

Use the form on this page – it is the one that sends the boats within minutes. You can also write to us from the main contact page or send us a message after browsing boats through Boat Search. Choose the channel that feels easiest – a person reads every message.
