Some guests like to start with destination, others with boat type. A third group already knows exactly which boat brands they like – maybe from previous charters, maybe because they are thinking about buying a yacht and want to test a model first. This page is for that third group.

Here you can search the Croatian charter fleet by brand: Lagoon, Fountaine Pajot, Bali, Bavaria, Beneteau, Hanse, Jeanneau, Dufour, Elan and more. The tool does not change the boats themselves – it simply filters the wider fleet so you see only yachts from the shipyards you care about.

Search Croatian Charter Boats by Brand

At the top of this page the main builders in the Croatian fleet each have a tile with a count of their boats. Pick one and the search opens filtered to that brand, where you can add dates, a starting base and a boat type, or tick more brands to compare them. Every other builder is under Brand & Model in the filters of our main boat search, which reads the same catalogue.

If you already know that you love Lagoon catamarans or Bavaria cruisers, this is a quick way to see what is actually available in Croatia for your week. If you are still deciding between two or three shipyards, the brand filter lets you compare similar sizes and layouts across them.

When Does a Brand-Focused Search Make Sense?

Searching by brand is most useful in two situations. The first is when you have chartered before and want something familiar – maybe you sailed a Lagoon 42 or Bavaria 46 and simply want a similar experience with a slightly newer hull. The second is when you are thinking about buying a yacht and would like to test specific models in real conditions before making a big decision.

If this is your very first charter in Croatia, it is usually better to focus on boat type, size and layout first. Start with the main Yacht Charter Croatia overview and the yacht-type pages for catamarans, sailboats and motor yachts. Once you know whether you prefer a cat, monohull or motor yacht, brand becomes a more helpful filter.

Croatia has one of the densest catamaran fleets in the world, and most of it is built by a small group of shipyards. In our brand search, you will see familiar names like Lagoon, Fountaine Pajot and Bali at the top of the list, along with Nautitech and a few other builders.

Lagoon

Lagoon is the most widespread catamaran brand in Croatian charter. Models like the Lagoon 40, 42, 46 and 50 are common in marinas from Split to Dubrovnik. They are known for comfortable interiors, strong charter support and layouts that work well for both families and mixed crews. If you enjoyed a Lagoon before, it is easy to find a similar boat for your next trip.

Fountaine Pajot

Fountaine Pajot catamarans have a slightly different feel – lighter interiors, efficient hulls and a strong focus on living space. Popular models include the Lucia 40, Isla 40, Astrea 42 and Saona 47. They balance performance and comfort well.

Bali & Other Brands

Bali catamarans stand out for their solid foredecks and open-plan saloons with large forward doors. They offer a very social, “villa on the water” style layout that some crews love. In the brand search you can also include Excess, Dufour, Nautitech and a few smaller producers.

For classic sailing yachts, the Croatian charter fleet is dominated by familiar European brands. When you filter by brand in the search, you will see long lists of Bavaria, Beneteau, Jeanneau, Hanse, Dufour and Elan models in different lengths and cabin layouts.

Bavaria & Beneteau

Bavaria and Beneteau supply a large share of the monohull charter market. Their cruiser ranges offer reliable, comfortable boats that work well for families and mixed crews. In the search results, look at build year and layout as much as boat length – a well-kept 2018 Bavaria can be a better choice than a tired 2012 of similar size.

Hanse, Jeanneau, Dufour & Elan

Hanse, Jeanneau, Dufour and Elan often appeal to guests who value sailing performance or specific interior styles. Hanse interiors feel clean and modern, Jeanneau and Dufour models are balanced all-rounders, while Elan yachts – coming from the Adriatic region – often deliver a mix of performance and practicality. Use the brand filter to focus on your favourite builders, then compare models in the 35–55 foot range depending on your crew.

Motor Yacht & Power Catamaran Brands

On the motor side, Croatian charter fleets include boats from Jeanneau, Bénéteau, Bavaria, Greenline, Azimut, Sealine, Galeon, Ferretti, Prestige, Princess and others, alongside power catamarans – most of them Fountaine Pajot, with a few from Prestige, Sunreef and other yards. Availability varies more than for sailboats, but the brand filter still helps you track down familiar designs.

With motor yachts and power catamarans, most of them chartered bareboat, the experience depends as much on the charter company as on the badge on the stern. When you find a brand and size that looks right in the search, reply to our email and we will tell you what we know about that charter company.

How to Use the Brand Filter

Using the brand filter is simple. Add your dates first, then a base or a boat type if you already know them. Next, open Brand & Model in the filters and tick one or more builders. The search will only show boats that match your dates and the brands you have chosen.

If you are comparing Lagoon vs Fountaine Pajot, or Bavaria vs Hanse, you can tick both brands at once and then narrow things down by length, cabin count and base. The results will update instantly, so you can see how many real options exist for each combination.

Comparing Models Within the Same Brand

Once you have filtered by brand, pay attention to the model numbers and build years. Within the Lagoon family, for example, a Lagoon 42 and Lagoon 46 feel quite different on board, and a 2020 hull will usually have a cleaner, fresher interior than a 2014 – even if layout stays similar.

The same is true for monohulls: a Bavaria 46 Cruiser and a Bavaria 45 may look close on paper but offer different cabin layouts and cockpit designs. If you are unsure how two models compare in real life, feel free to send us the links. We know how most of these boats feel when you actually live on them for a week.

Brand vs Condition – What Matters More?

Brand is a useful starting point, but it is not everything. Condition, maintenance and base support can easily outweigh the difference between two shipyards. A well-maintained older Lagoon can be a better choice than a neglected newer catamaran from a different builder, and the most important luxury on board is often a boat that simply works smoothly.

That is why we use the brand filter as a tool, not as a religion. Reply to our email with your shortlist and we will tell you what we know about each fleet: service culture, technical team, how they handle issues during the season. If we know of a red flag, we will say so honestly and suggest either a different model from the same brand or a comparable yacht from another builder.

Filter by brand when

  • You have sailed the model before and want the same layout again.
  • You want a specific hull characteristic — a Nautitech that sails, a Bali's foredeck.
  • Your crew is a fixed size and one model's cabin plan fits it exactly.
  • You are comparing two quotes and need genuinely like for like.
  • You are chartering a motor yacht, where builders differ more than in sail.

Ignore brand when

  • It is your first charter — age and operator matter far more than the badge.
  • Your dates are fixed and tight; brand is the filter that empties the results.
  • You are choosing between a 2018 boat from a good fleet and a 2023 from a weak one.
  • You want the best value that week — that is a price sort, not a brand filter.
  • You have narrowed to two similar yards; at that point ask us instead.

Combine Brand Search with Our Boat Search Tool

The brand page works best together with our main boat search. You can start with a broad look at all boats that match your dates and budget, then switch to brand search when you notice a pattern – for example “we always like the Lagoon layouts” or “these Bavaria models seem to fit our cabins.”

You can jump back and forth between the two tools as much as you like. In the background they use the same data, so anything you find in one can be double-checked and booked via the other. Our general Yacht Charter Croatia and Fleet We Charter pages add context along the way.

Prefer Advice Instead of Filters?

Not everyone enjoys filters and dropdowns. If you would rather describe your ideal boat in normal language – “newer Lagoon 42 or similar, four cabins and a skipper, Split area in June” – simply write that into the enquiry form. Within minutes you get the boats that fit, each checked live with its charter company – and, because the message names a model, a second email of similar boats – and a person answers your reply.

We are a charter agency with our team in Split and Trogir and we work across all major yacht types – from sailboats and catamarans to motor yachts, power cats, gulets and luxury yachts. That means we can tell you when a specific brand really makes sense – and when a different boat might secretly be a better match.

FAQ – Searching by Yacht Brand

Can I book a specific model, not just a brand?

Yes. When you confirm a charter, your contract is for a specific boat, not just “a Lagoon 42 category” or “Bavaria 46 or similar”. If a fleet ever needs to propose a replacement due to technical issues, we help check that the alternative is truly equivalent or better.

What if the brand I want is not listed?

Not every builder has boats in the Croatian charter market. If you do not see your preferred brand in the filter, send us a quick note with the name and we will double-check.

Does brand influence insurance or safety?

Every charter yacht in Croatia has to be registered for commercial use and carry the insurance Croatian law requires, whatever its brand. Safety depends more on maintenance, equipment and responsible operation than on the logo on the mainsail — ask us about a specific boat and we will tell you what we know about its fleet.

Can I mix brands if we charter several boats?

Absolutely. For larger groups taking two or three yachts, it is common to have a mix of brands – for example one Lagoon and one Bali, or a Bavaria plus a Hanse. The key is to match performance and size so the boats can travel together comfortably.

Is it worth paying more just for a specific brand?

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. If a particular model solves a layout challenge for your crew or you already know you love that design, a small premium can be worth it. But if the only difference is a logo and a slightly shinier brochure, we will tell you honestly when a more modest but well-kept yacht offers better value.
